Amaury became famous after releasing his debut album Vincero in 2009 which sold more than 250,000 copies. His second album Cantero was eleased in November 2010. On 27 January 2011 it was announced by the French broadcaster France Télévisions, that Amaury Vassili would be the French entrant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf. The song was revealed as Sognu, and will be performed in Corsican.
