Rui Bandeira, born as Rui Pedro Neto de Melo Bandeira in Mozambique on July 25, 1973, is a Portugese singer.
By the age of fifteen Rui joined a gospel choir, playing the piano and composing songs. Until 1997 he recorded 4 quite successful albums in Portugal.
In 1999 Rui participated in the 36th Festival RTP da Canção, the Portugese national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song Como Tudo Começou which won the Portugese pre-selection and came 21st in Jerusalem. In that same year Rui came 4th at a Song Festival in Cairo, Egypt with the song Make This World. In the following years Rui released several successful albums in Portugal.
