Vasyl Lazarovych

Vasyl Lazarovych (born August 5, 1981) is a Ukrainian singer and performer.

1981 - Vasyl Lazarovych was born in the village of Banya-Bereziv, Kosiv Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine.

2002 - Vasyl graduated as a vocalist from the Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk University. He also played the part of Alexander II in the musical Equator.

2004 - Vasyl acted as a soloist in the Belarus Orchestra under the direction of Mikhail Finberg. They performed at the Slavonic Bazaar Song Contest.

2005 - Vasyl studied at the Tchaikovsky Music Academy

2009/2010 - On 29 December 2009 Vasyl was selected internally by the Ukrainian broadcaster (NTU) as the Ukrainian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo. On March 6 2010, Vasyl sang 5 songs in the Ukrainian national final:

Adrenalin, 4th
Don't Wanna Loose You, 4th
Shine Of Your Star, 2nd
I Know, 2nd
I Love You, 1st

The song I Love You was chosen by SMS voting and an "expert" jury. But on 15 March 2010 the new board of the National Television Company of Ukraine, decided not to send him to Oslo, because the song was not good enough.

On 17 March 2010 it was announced that there would be by a new, last minute, national selection. Vasyl participated in the new national final, but he just placed eighth.
