The winner of the German national final was the singer and actress Margot Hielscher with her song Telefon, Telefon which was written by Ralph Maria Siegel, indeed the father of Ralph Siegel. At the Eurovision Song Contest in Frankfurt Margot came 4th with her lovely song and telephone act.
