Jürgen Marcus (June 6 1948, Herne) is a German Schlager singer. His long career began in 1968 and he had lots of hits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
His biggest hits were Nur Du (El Condor Pasa), Eine Neue Liebe Ist Wie Ein Neues Leben, Ein Festival Der Liebe, Grand Prix D'Amour, which participated in the internal German selection of 1974, and Ein Lied Zieht Hinaus In Die Welt, which came 9th in the German pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975.
In 1976 he participated in the Luxemburg national final with the song Chanson Pour Seux Qui S'Aiment, he won the pre-selection but ended on a disappointing 14th place in The Hague. In 1982 he took part in the German national final with the song Ich Würde Gerne Bei Dir Sein which came 5th.
After the contest his popularity declined but Jürgen is still active in music and still performs, mostly in German television shows.
