Beş Yıl Önce, On Yıl Sonra was a Turkish band of the 80's which was meant to be the Turkish answer to ABBA. The members of the band were Nilgün Onatkut (1982-1987), Atakan Ünüvar, Mehmet Horoz, and Esma Erdem (1984-1987), Şebgün Tansel (1982-1984), Didem Hekimoğlu (1987-1988) and Seda Ünüvar(2001), who is the daughter of Atakan Ünüvar.
In 1983 they came second in the Turkish national final with the song Atlantis. In 1984 they won the Turkish pre-selection with Halay. For the Eurovision Song Contest in Luxemburg they changed the song and a chorus was added, Halay came 12th which was the highest position for Turkey up till then.

I had been searching hardly the Eurovision version of Halay for many years, with P2P software, but I only found the live version of the national final performance, or the live version of the ESC performance, not the studio version.
