Kurt Calleja (born May 5 1989) is a Maltese singer who will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song This Is The Night.Kurt followed music and singing lessons for four years at the music school of Brian Cefai. Then he took a gamble and went for a year in London. While he was there he performed in Clubs like Tiger, Tiger and Host, The King’s Arms and Bada Bing. Back in Malta he started as a backing vocalist.
In 2010 Kurt participated in the Maltese national final for the ESC with the song Waterfall which was a duet with Priscilla Psaila.
In 2011 he participated again and came 3rd with the song Over And Over.
On February 4 2012 Kurt won the Maltese pre-selection for the ESC with the song This Is The Night.
