Garry Hagger


Garry Hagger, born as Gert Vanderhaeghe on April 29 1963 in Tielrode, is a Flemish singer.

As a child Gary was already interested in music and he played in the local big band. He studied music and singing at the music acadamy in Sint Niklaas.

In 1983 he released his first, not very succesful, single and in 1991 he took part in the soundmixshow. In 1995 he participated again and came 2nd with the song This is the moment, originally sung byRené Froger.

In 1996 Garry participated in De Gouden Zeemeermin, the Belgian pre-selection for the ESC, with the song Dat ik van je hou which came 5th. In 1997 he released his first English album, My life. In the following years he released more albums and singles in different styles of music.

In 2004 Gary participated again in the Belgian pre-selection for the ESC. He stranded in the semi-finals with the song I will choose you.
