At the end of 1974 Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson wrote the song Bang-A-Boomerang and were invited by the Swedish Television to participate with Bang-A-Boomerang in the Swedish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975.
Since ABBA themselves didn't want to compete in the contest again, just one year after they won, they instead gave the opportunity and the song to Svenne & Lotta. Bang-A-Boomerang was given Swedish lyrics by Stig Anderson and retitled Bang En Boomerang. In the national final Svenne & Lotta came 3rd but had a big hit in Scandinavia.
ABBA released Bang A Boomerang in France with SOS as B-side where it was a minor hit.
